MSU partners with PCI for Oral History Project; be on the lookout to participate

The Oral History Project LogoThe Minot State University Alumni Association is kicking off a new project, and all alumni are invited to participate for free by contributing their own slice of campus history.

Over the next six months, alumni have the opportunity to add their stories to a collection of Minot State memories for a new hardbound book. Alumni may be contacted by Publishing Concepts (PCI) regarding the Oral History Project . Please know that this is not spam or fraudulent, but rather a legitimate point of contact – one authorized by us. Alumni will be asked to update contact information and share their stories; however, alumni may opt out of sharing any information they do not feel comfortable sharing.

The book, crafted into hardcover and digital versions, will be available to alumni for purchase at the end of the project.

Here’s a little more information on what the Oral History Project is all about, and how Minot State will be using your stories:

Soon you will be receiving email and postcard communications from the PCI team with instructions on how to participate. We’d like to invite you to share one of your stories with us and take part in this project to honor the experiences and voices of our alumni. The PCI team will collect stories until November 22, 2024. After that, they will enter a post-production phase editing the data. We hope to have the book distributed in May 2025.
