Neil Roberts is an Associate Professor of Professional Communication. He specializes in Broadcast Production and teaches courses in audio/radio production, television/video production, media announcing, sports production, and broadcast news writing & reporting.

Roberts supervises KMSU Channel 19, Minot State University's campus TV and radio station. The station broadcasts to 20,000 households in the Minot community and features a variety of student-run productions. Each year the station hosts a live televised auction in which students auction off holiday gift packages to community members who call in and place bids. A portion of each year's proceeds go to a student-selected charity, and the remaining proceeds are used to fund student conference travel.

Roberts is also the President and CEO of Forward Communication Inc., which specializes in video and radio production throughout the midwest. The company produces several syndicated radio series that cover a range of topics, including agriculture and outdoor recreation. Roberts also produces preseason reports on the Minnesota Vikings and Minnesota Twins on stations across the region. For this work, Roberts has received a number of Eric Sevareid Awards from the Midwest Broadcast Journalism Association (MBJA).

Prior to teaching at MSU, Roberts was a television anchor and report/producer in several markets including Fargo and Minot. He has also worked in radio, done play-by-play, and directed various television productions.
