Kelly Hackett

Assistant Professor

Office: Memorial Hall Room 409

I began my nursing career as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Trauma Center at Trinity Hospital in Minot, ND.  During this time, I actively served as a preceptor, developing a passion for education while teaching various RN certification courses.  I then had the opportunity to become the Nurse Residency / Student Coordinator at Trinity Health, where I assisted new nurses in their professional development as they transitioned to bedside nursing.

My enthusiasm for teaching led me to higher education, where I was the site manager and clinical instructor for the Dakota College at Bottineau (DCB) nursing program in Minot.  I am excited to return to Minot State University, my alma mater, and I look forward to fostering an environment of learning and growth.

I take pride in my direct, kind, and honest approach and value accountability in all aspects of life.  Outside of work, I enjoy outdoor activities and spending time with my husband, our energetic daughter, and our dogs and cats.
