Minot State’s Spring Preview Day set for Saturday, April 6

MINOT, N.D. – Minot State University’s Spring Preview Day kicks off with check-in at 8:45 a.m. at the Student Center Atrium on Saturday, April 6, giving attendees the opportunity to experience life as a Minot State student.

Prospective students and their families will receive a first-hand look into life on campus with a mock class, residence hall tours, campus activities, a student panel, and resource fair.

“This event is great for high school juniors and seniors and even very excited sophomores. Our Spring Preview Day is different than Fall Preview Day, as accepted seniors are able to sign up for their first college class for the Fall semester,” said Carly Reinke, Minot State admissions counselor. “Students and parents will have different programming to learn more about what it is like to be a student at Minot State. Students will attend a mock class as well as chat with faculty and staff from many departments on campus during our resource fair.”

Following check-in and a welcome, the event will host a student panel at 9:15 a.m. and an Introduction to Learning Communities and First Year Experience (FYE) at 9:45 a.m. From 10 a.m. to noon students and guests will split for separate programming.

Students will have the opportunity to attend two FYE mock classes before learning about campus activities and living on campus. Their guests will break out for financial aid, residence life, and career services sessions followed by a question and answer forum led by Kevin Harmon, vice president of student affairs.

Prospective students and their families will reconvene at noon for a resource fair, lunch in the Beaver Creek Café, and an optional campus tour.

Attendees who register and attend the event will be entered to win a $500 tuition waiver to Minot State. For more information and to register, visit HERE.
