GlobalND welcomes Iraqi oil and gas officials to Minot

MINOT, N.D. – GlobalND (formerly the Minot Area Council for International Visitors) is hosting 11 Iraqi oil and gas officials from Sept. 20-25.

Coming to the United States under the auspices of the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) of the U. S. State Department, the Iraqi officials' overall program theme is “Reducing Oil and Gas Sector Emissions.”

GlobalND, a non-profit, all-volunteer community-based organization, fosters international relationships and global understanding through people-to-people diplomacy. It was founded in 1993 as the Minot Area Council for International Visitors through the cooperation of Minot State University and the surrounding community, including the city of Minot, the Minot Education Association, and the Minot Air Force Base. Part of the Global Ties Network, GlobalND works with the IVLP of the US State Department.

GlobalND has arranged appointments for them, ranging from the North Dakota Department of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas Division to the Native Green Grow project of the MHA nation. They will also attend NOTSTOCK, Minot State University’s signature arts event, as well as be hosted for dinner by two Minot families.

From Minot, they will move on to Denver and New Orleans for further meetings and demonstrations.

For more information this event, contact GlobalND by EMAIL or contact Joseph Jastrzembski at (701) 858-3322. For more information on GlobalND, see the organization’s WEBSITE and Facebook PAGE.
