We are proud to tell the story of Minot State University and are excited to partner with you to promote the incredible work of our students, faculty, staff, alumni, and supporters. To help maintain a high level of consistency, explore the marketing services we provide, such as photography, event planning and promotion, graphic design, and social media.
The Marketing Office strives to be a positive partner in advancing the University forward. While we do not plan events, we do embrace our role in promoting and capturing events whenever possible.
We’ve also developed this checklist to help ensure departments use all resources available to amplify their event:
- Reserve event space - Contact Room Coordinator
- Reserve event parking - Contact Sherri Giessinger
- Add your event to the campus calendar - Contact University Communications
- Request promotional materials (flyers, graphics, etc.) - Contact Amanda Francis
- Request a press release - Contact University Communications
- Order food and beverages - Contact Jami Laducer
- Request event photography - Contact Rick Heit
- Request the MSU backdrop and tablecloth - Contact Marketing
Contact us to discuss how we can best support your event.
When requested and when possible, the Marketing Office will provide photography for the following:
- Events hosted by official Minot State University departments.
- Learning in action photoshoots of classes engaging in hands-on learning.
- Faculty and Staff headshots (available at the start of the fall and spring terms)
Request photography coverage for your event.
The Marketing Office produces videos for campus-wide initiatives such as Convocation, Homecoming, Giving Day, etc. When requested and when possible, the Marketing Office may be able to help capture footage of other University events. However, due to resource constraints, we are unable to capture and edit a full video for departments. If this is the case, we will assist departments in finding an external partner to fulfill the video request.
Inquire if videography is possible for your event/project.
The Marketing Office leverages social media platforms to tell the story of Minot State University. We encourage departments to help us tell your story by sharing student stories with University Communications. Nearly all student, faculty, and staff stories are shared on our social media channels after publication, and this is the most authentic way for us to share the powerful work we do at Minot State University.
Have questions related to social media usage and guidance?
The Marketing Office employs a web content specialist who oversees the strategic direction of Minot State’s most critical web pages. First and foremost, this position manages the MSU homepage and campaign landing pages. Additionally, we collaborate with the leaders of those departments/units to conduct annual audits of our core assets. Core assets include admissions, majors and programs for prospective students, financial aid, graduate school, CEL/online, and residence life.
Have questions related to Minot State's core assets?
One-on-one training for power users is available upon request, and all other website requests for non-core assets should be made to Anton Huether, MSU webmaster.
Campus departments must adhere to a content review when producing documents to be disseminated on or off campus. This process upholds the integrity of our brand by ensuring proper grammar and a strong reflection of Minot State's brand identity.
Request content review.
Visual (Graphics) Review
If necessary, our content specialist will seek a visual review from Design and Print Services. All printing requests will require final approval by Design and Print Services.
The Office of Design and Print Services aims to provide the University with the highest quality product at a reasonable price and in a timely manner. We are committed to assisting the campus with printing and copying projects from the planning stage through production. We are available to assist you in creating your publication, from posters to brochures, banners to advertisements, magazines to books. The staff can make your piece professional in appearance while also implementing University style guidelines to ensure your publication is unique to your needs and a complement to the brand of Minot State University.
